Healthy habits for long-term success with bariatric surgery

Bariatric surgery is a significant step toward achieving your health and weight goals. However, the surgery is essentially useless if you don't change your nutrition and lifestyle habits. We're here to help you on this big step toward better health.

Support for all stages of your bariatric journey.

I advise my clients to go ahead and start living the lifestyle you will be living after surgery. We work on practicing bariatric nutrition and exercise habits as if you already had the surgery. That way, your transition post-surgery will be much easier.

I will also guide you through the pre-op diet, a medical diet to help your body prepare for surgery. I will work closely with your surgical team to make sure this diet is safe for you.

Pre-Surgery Nutrition

After surgery, you'll need nutritional guidance to ensure you are meeting your nutrient needs while maintaining a steady rate of weight loss.

Proper post-op nutrition also reduces the risk of complications that can arise after surgery. I'll work closely with your surgical team to make sure the post-op reintroduction diet is safe for you.

Expert guidance from a dietitian with years of experience in bariatric nutrition.

Why do you need a dietitian who specializes in bariatrics?

Bariatric nutrition is a highly specialized field and not all dietitians are trained in it. For someone with bariatric surgery, much of the nutrition advice out there that are for people without surgery may or may not apply to you. Plus, you will have some additional nutrition guidelines to keep in mind if you do have the surgery.
